Bring Tennis Balls on Monday!

We will be having our first match on Monday, March 3rd, 2008. Sorry that the weather hasn't been very cooperative this week(TOO COLD!) and there hasn't been a practice. The boys will be playing and the rest of us will be cheering and organizing. We will work on making up a practice schedule and get ready for some other events.
Here is the line up:
Boys singles #1- Kevin Pfeiffer
Boys singles #2-Jack Ridderhof
Boys singles #3-Jimmy Jiang
Doubles #1- Luke Richerson & Kenneth Wang
Doubles #2 -David Vogt & Gary Orr
Doubles #3 -Darien Pourmehr & Ed Silva
Alternate- Robert Smith

The line up was created using the information on the registration form and parent's emails. Once we can get started and actually have a practice, we will be able to mix up and add to the lineup each time.
*I will arrive at the courts around 3:45 to set up our table and to make sure that Northview also has a place to sit. Please change your clothes(Black Shorts, pants and white shirt or GSMST Tennis shirt) at the school and come over to the court as soon as you can. The Duluth High School team usually practices until 4:30 and we will want to get started as soon as they jump off.
*Everyone, Please bring 2 cans of tennis balls (Extra Duty Felt for hard court).
Parents- bring lawn chairs, your camera and a snack to share. We are covered with drinks.
So--- Come cheer on our BOYS!!!

Please let me know if you have any questions. Leave a comment!

Girl's Match Date Coming

I have been talking this past week with Coach Erin Lace of the Peachtree Ridge JV Girls team.
Yes, I did say "Lace", as in Mr. Jared Lace, of GSMST. . .our very own stellar sub!
Anyway,- we are planning a fun match, maybe even a round robin just for the girls! As soon as I get the date, I'll let you know!
Hey. . .I wonder if Mr. Lace plays tennis too! We could give him a challenge!

I heard from the Coach at Northview High School today. He would like to bring his JV Boys team to have a friendly scrimmage with our GSMST Boys on March 3rd. Boys...Please respond if you are available to play a match that day.

Calling All Volunteers!

Attention Tennis Parents!
Your 1st Opportunity to Volunteer is here!
We need Locker Decorations for our Players!
Take a Look at the Locker Site:
http://www.lockerdecorating.blospot.com/
for an idea of what is expected.
The first one needs to congratulate them for joining the club! . . .GSMTS's first sport opportunity! So lets show the celebration!
Leave a comment is you are interested in join the fun committee! It would involve making a talisman for each player before each event. Completed Decorations would need to be taped to the player's locker right before match or event. Scrapbookers will be good at this activity. So- - - lets cheer on our Team!!!
